farming, the best ships hands down are the amarr. pure damage and unlimited ammunition. no sissy target jammers or shield boosters needed.

dragon emperor, often i go AFK while farming in my apocalypse. it has so much damn shield and armor that i could probably take 10 minutes of straight pounding before i have to worry. even then, it takes 20 seconds to vaporize the whole damn spawn with a rack of tachyons/heavy modulated beams using six extruded heatsinks.

well since tachs are so damn powerful you can take on any chain spawn with ease. i am sure once sanshas battleships are in people will be fitting the heatsink/tachyon combo more ;)

its too bad that shields already have -60% explosive, i could throw an EM and an explosive ward on and just peg you to death from 60km :)

problem is you are using a "lets wreck someone with an inane setup" configuration, i highly doubt you would take a scorpion into battle with 8 hardeners. the apoc, on the other hand, has no choice. it pretty much npc hunts and PvPs the same, just lots of gunnery. only thing keeping the scorpion alive is its hardeners. :)
